Ok so I saw a meme recently that was basically roasting people who give out mental health advice when really they belong in a mental ward themselves. And it reminded me that I should probably introduce myself before we go any further.
I’m Anna Marie. Homeschooling mama to two epic little girls. Wife to an amazing man who does the dishes because I refuse to touch them. And a complete nut job for holistic wellness.
I’ve spent years helping people navigate their emotional landscapes and break free from patterns that have been running in their families for generations. Chat GPT wrote that last sentence by the way. I can tell because I would never say it that way.
Here’s the real version. I help mamas heal their own stuff so their kids have more energetic space to grow in. Because I realized pretty quickly that this stuff wasn’t just affecting me. It was affecting my kids. And that made me significantly more motivated to figure it out.
What I actually do
I call myself a holistic wellness therapist which is honestly the best I could come up with. I’m trained in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Emotion Code. And I integrate all of these modalities to create really catered sessions for my clients.
But here’s the thing. If I want to actually change a generation I can’t only work with people one on one. I need to reach more people than that. Which is why this podcast exists.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works with the body’s own rhythms — it reminds your system of its core frequency, that baseline of health that gets buried under all the fast and loud and overwhelming. Polarity Therapy works with the energy field. Somatic Therapy helps you locate where things are living in the body and give them somewhere to go. Emotion Code helps identify and release specific trapped emotions that are stored energetically.
I work intuitively — meaning I read what your system needs and pull from whatever is going to serve it best. There’s no one size fits all here. There’s just what your body needs in that moment.
Why this goes way beyond you
Here’s the part that gets lost when we talk about healing work. We act like it’s a personal thing. Like you’re just doing it for yourself.
But as you clear your own stuff it clears both directions. Forward and backward. And this isn’t woo woo anymore by the way — it’s epigenetics. Science has caught up. We do carry trauma in our bodies. It’s stored there initially to protect us. And then it gets passed on from generation to generation.
So the goal isn’t just to feel better. The goal is to clear what we don’t need anymore. To remind the body that it’s safe now. That the thing being carried to protect us doesn’t need to be carried anymore.
And then watch what happens to your kids. And their kids. And the kids after that.
That’s the actual vision. Not just better parenting. A legacy of emotional wellness that moves through generations. I don’t take that lightly.
The stuff that pisses me off — let’s just go there
A few things worth naming directly.
Social norms around emotions. The message we’ve all absorbed that says feel it quietly, handle it privately, don’t let anyone see you struggling. That norm is actively keeping cycles of pain going. It needs to be looked at honestly.
Western medicine’s approach to mental health. And I want to be clear — if I’m bleeding out bring me to a hospital immediately. I’m not anti medicine across the board. But when it comes to mental health there are giant blinders on. Talk therapy helps people understand their patterns. And understanding is valuable. But understanding something doesn’t release it. You’re still working from up here — the head — while your entire body is trying to send you information around the clock and getting completely ignored.
And the loss of community. I genuinely think the promotion of the nuclear family — two parents doing all of this alone — sent a lot of people into a spiral. We were not designed to do this in isolation. When you look at cultures that still have more communal structures the mental health picture looks different. That’s not a coincidence.
Why you’re here and what we’re building together
One in 400 trillion. That’s roughly the odds of any of us being born. We are walking around on a speeding marble around a fireball and somehow we found each other here. That’s not nothing.
What I want this podcast to be is a place where we talk honestly about the emotional stuff most people are carrying quietly. Where we remember that we are more than our heads. That there’s a whole body and a whole energy field that deserves attention.
And I need your help with this. I can’t change a generation by myself. Every step you take toward healing yourself creates ripple effects that extend way beyond your own life. That’s the whole point.
